Let me tell you how to make the best banana bread. When it comes to banana bread, all you need are the simple ingredients! I make a batch of banana bread at least once a month with the brown bananas left on the kitchen counter. Heres all that you will need!
This recipe makes one loaf, best made in a 4/12 loaf pan.
Time :
– Prep: 15 mins
– Bake: 1 hr
– Total time: 1 hr 15 mins
Ingredients:
- 3-4 over ripe bananas
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons butter (half stick melted)
Baking Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray loaf pan with nonstick spray
- Blend (1 Cup) brown sugar and (4 tbsp) butter (easiest with a hand mixer, but can be done by hand with a whisk, I’ve been there!)
- After mixing sugar and butter, add (1 tsp) vanilla, (2) eggs, and (3-4) mashed bananas
- Combine dry ingredients (2 Cups) four, (1 tsp) baking soda, (1 tsp) baking powder, (1 tsp) salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients
- Pour batter into greased loaf pan
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 55 – 60 minutes. To test if done, use a toothpick (or a fork), stick it into the loaf. If the toothpick comes out clean, the loaf is ready.
- Leave the banana bread in the loaf pan for approximately 10-15 minutes to settle.
- After settling, remove the bread from pan, and place on cooling rack for 5-10 minutes.
