Why I am Creating a Blog

I have come to the conclusion that I have always enjoyed my english classes in school. I may have not loved to write about assigned topics, but I did love writing about what I wanted to write about. I am a young person who has no idea what career to pursue, but I do know what I enjoy to do. I enjoy traveling and I enjoy writing. Blogging gives me the freedom to write about my travel experience, and hopefully help readers with their travel experience.

Going to Disney world, and planning your days for the parks? Here are 11 things you definitely don’t want to miss at one of Disney’s magical theme parks, Animal Kingdom! Animal Kingdom is wrongfully judged as being a half day park. Let me show you all the wonderful things at this park, that will absolutely fill your day! Lets get into it!

    Rides

Avatar Flight of Passage: Fan of the Avatar movies? Even if you aren’t a fan, you must get on this ride! Flight of Passage is one of my favorite rides out of all rides at Disney! This attraction really makes you feel like you are riding on the back of banshee around Pandora! Disney didn’t fail with the magic on this one. The views, the aromas, and the feelings of this ride scream dopamine release. I could argue that this is the best ride at Animal Kingdom. This is a thrill ride and has a height requirement of 44 inches.

Na’vi River Journey: This is a very calm and relaxing ride with beautiful scenery! This ride will take you deep into Pandoras bioluminescent rainforest. This ride is themed after pandora in the movie Avatar, and guarantee you goosebumps from the beautiful rainforest. This is considered a slow ride and there is no height requirement.

Mount Everest: Aka the Forbidden Mountain, located in Asia. This ride is a such classic with a very entertaining line to wait in. The museum, the air conditioning, the music is perfection. First you will walk past a booking office, then you will pass a temple and a cozy general store. Lastly you will enter the museum dedicated to the study of the Yeti. And then the ride itself makes any wait worth it! There are some big drops, going backwards and dark periods on this ride! I recommend getting to this ride early in the morning, earlier mornings usually allows you to ride this ride a couple times or more with only a 5 minute wait. This ride does have a height requirement of 44 inches.

Kilimanjaro Safaris: What Animal Kingdom is all about, animals! You will see zebras, cheetahs, lions, elephants, crocodiles, and so much more on this ride! The cast members make this ride so magical by educating and entertaining! All ages and Heights are welcome!

Kali River Rapids: Want to cool off? Take a ride on the Kali River Rapids! You travel down and up a river, and you are definitely going to get a little wet or even drenched! There are small drops and spinning. If you don’t like getting wet I recommend sitting this one out, a rain poncho may help a little, haha! This ride is located in Asia and there is a height requirement of 38 inches. If you are sitting this one out, you may have fun using the elephant squirters to spray your group when they pass by!

    Shows

Festival of the Lion King: This show is a must see! It is great entertainment, and an escape from the heat. This show is filled with songs, dancing, and pageantry that celebrates one of the most classic Disney movies, The Lion King. They are great at including the audience and keeping all age groups entertained.

Feathered Friends in Flight: This show will teach you the amazing natural abilities of birds. The show includes vocal mimicry, flight routines and problem-solving skills. Again cast members are great at educating and keeping you very entertained!

Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail: This is technically not a show. But it is great way to see gorillas hippos, and zebras in a safe way! This trail provides great shade, it makes for a perfect cool down stroll. The typical hours for this trail is 8:15AM to 6:00PM

    Food

Yak & Yeti: This restaurant is an Asian cuisine. They serve amazing Asian food and delicious sea food, usually having a catch of the day. They also serve American food as well. Lunch and dinner range from $15 – $35 per adult.

Rainforest Cafe: This cafe is a great place to go if you are looking for American food options. They serve burgers, chicken, pasta, and seafood. The environment is very fun reflecting a tropical/ rainforest theme. You will see plants, waterfalls and rainforest animals in this cafe! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner range from $15 – $35 per adult.

Kusafiri Coffee shop and Bakery: Looking to have breakfast in the park? My top pick would be this quick window service coffee shop. Here they serve the famous coconut flavored coffee, as well as the famous mickey cinnamon roll! Breakfast is $15 and under per adult.
